We use our own truck, Mainfreight or specialist plant carriers to deliver Living Walls™ instant hedges and Pleached Screen trees.
Delivery availability and the method used depend on the destination, order size and site access. We’ll let you know whether we can arrange delivery to your site and, if so, confirm the method and provide an estimate.
Delivery vehicles need suitable road access, overhead clearance and enough space to approach and leave the delivery point safely. If the truck cannot safely reach the expected delivery point, delivery may need to be made elsewhere.
Delivery does not include moving the hedges from the drop-off point to their final position or installing them.
To prepare a delivery estimate, we need your delivery address, chosen variety, required length in metres or number of Pleached Screen trees, and project timing.
We’ll assess vehicle access when preparing your estimate. Please tell us about any gates, narrow roads or entrances, low branches or power lines, steep roads or driveways, limited turning space, heavy-vehicle restrictions or other access limitations that may not be visible on online maps.
Delivery charges are based on the transport rates available when we prepare your estimate. If fuel or carrier charges change before dispatch, we’ll let you know and confirm the revised delivery charge.
Living Walls™ are fully formed and substantial. Our largest hedge lengths weigh around 100 kg when wet and require at least two strong people to carry. Up to four people may be needed where access involves stairs, slopes or a long carry.
For deliveries by our truck or a specialist plant carrier, at least two capable people should be on site at the delivery time to assist with unloading. Larger orders may require additional people so unloading can be completed safely and efficiently.
You are responsible for moving the hedges from the drop-off point to their final installation position.

Our truck is used for some local deliveries, which are made midweek.
It is a 9.5 m curtainsider truck with a tail-lift. It requires at least 4.2 m of height clearance, 3 m of width clearance and 12 m of clear length for the truck and tail-lift when unloading.
Our driver will help unload the hedges to a safe, accessible position near the truck. At least two capable people should be on site to assist. Larger orders may require additional people.
Mainfreight deliveries arrive wrapped on one-way pallets. The local driver will unload the complete pallets from the truck and leave them at the gate or nearest safe drop-off point. The driver does not unwrap the pallets or remove the individual hedge lengths.
Each pallet can be heavy. At least two capable people should be available to unwrap it and move the hedges to the installation site.
Fibreglass rod handles are removed from the bags for shipping. Some rods are supplied separately and can be reinserted into the bags to help carry the hedges.
Specialist plant carriers are used for deliveries outside our local truck range. Delivery timing depends on the carrier’s schedule for your destination.
These deliveries use large curtainsider trucks, typically around 12 m long. They require at least 4.3 m of height clearance and 3 m of width clearance.
Your order will be unloaded within approximately 5 m of where the truck can safely stop. This may be at the gate or another suitable, accessible location.
At least two capable people should be available at the delivery time to assist with unloading and move the hedges safely from the drop-off point. Larger orders may require additional help.
Collection from our Mangatāwhiri nursery is available midweek by appointment.
Tell us your chosen variety and quantity, and we’ll help determine the vehicle or trailer deck space required and arrange a collection time.
Our team can assist with loading your vehicle or trailer. You are responsible for securing the load safely before leaving the nursery.
